This week I’ve recommended two different green tea preparations for clients to help with their health concerns.
- Common cold with headache and sore throat: green tea, mixed with peppermint tea and honey. Both green tea and peppermint clear heat, green tea helps reduce headaches, peppermint tea and honey soothe the throat.
- Irritability and feeling overheated due to hangover. This can also be effective for what I like to call a non-alcoholic hangover (too much sugar), or PMS symptoms of irritability and heat: ochazuke (green tea over rice). This can be made a thousand ways, but in this iteration we’d use brown rice and add leafy greens and seaweed.
